J.D.Institute was established in 2005 as a Public Intellectual Institute which provides training, lectures and seminars in social and cultural thought from a biblical perspective. J.D.Institute takes an ecumenical approach to Evangelical Christian thought, life, and practice, which also takes the task and focus of social justice serious.

DEAD SEA SCROLLS LECTURE AND TOUR
Dr. Jamal-Dominique Hopkins, the only known Dead Sea Scrolls scholar of African Descent, will offer several lectures and tours of the Dead Sea Scrolls which are currently on loan in Southern California. Dr. Hopkins received his Ph.D. on the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran Studies from the University of Manchester, in Manchester, England.
Lectures will take place weekdays (Thur & Fri) - mornings from 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m., or evenings from 6:15 p.m.- 8:45 p.m. Saturday seminars are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Or you can arrange for Dr. Hopkins to lecture to your Church group or organization.
